How many of us wander on to the first tee and expect to hit a great opening tee shot and then make a fast start?

Ideally you will get the chance to run through these exercises by strength and conditioning coach Jamie Greaves before you hit some balls on the range but, even if you’ve only got 10 minutes before your tee time, this dynamic and straightforward warm-up will really help you to hit the ground running. The good news is that all that you’ll need is a golf club so there’s no excuse not to install these into your pre-round routine.

1. Mobilise the main joints and get the blood flowing
2. Work through your range of motion with your shoulders
3. Great golf posture exercises
4. Open up your hamstrings
5. Increase your speed and fire up your system
