1 years as a PGA Professional
I’m the full-time Teaching Professional at Prestonfield, a PGA-qualified professional with an Honours degree in Psychology. With over five years’ experience as a professional, I specialise in all things coaching: long game, short game, on-course performance, and the mental side of golf. My approach is person-centred and data-informed, helping players develop real, lasting skills and enjoy the process of improvement. I work with golfers of all levels, from beginners to elite amateurs and touring professionals. What I enjoy most is building a long-term relationship with each player, whatever their goals – whether that’s starting out and learning the game, earning a U.S. scholarship, performing better on tour, or breaking 100 for the first time. I tailor my coaching to the individual, using analogies, examples, and approaches that make sense for how they learn. I don’t automatically change swings – if adjustments are needed, they’re made with purpose, always in service of your performance and enjoyment. Feedback is a key part of my coaching, and I frequently use technology – such as video analysis and Trackman – as a tool to provide clear, actionable insights. I also compete occasionally on the local Scottish professional circuits, which keeps me connected to the playing and performance side of the game. My goal is simple: to help you play better golf – and to love the journey of getting better. Read More
