What to Expect

  • We’ll start by discussing what you’re looking to get out of lessons
  • You can bring your own clubs or borrow some for the lesson
  • We’ll take a look at your current swing, even if you’ve never swung a club before, and discuss what could be worked on
  • We’ll go through practice routines you can do at home between lessons
  • We’ll create a plan for the next few lessons

About James

I’ve been a fully qualified PGA Professional for 13 years now, based at East Brighton Golf Club. Coaching golfers of all levels — from beginners just getting started, right up to competitive players wanting to improve performance on the course. I’m also an active tournament player and won the Sussex and South Region Order of Merits in 2025, which strongly influences how I coach. I focus on simple, practical improvements that actually transfer to the course — Not Just swing changes, but better practice, decision-making, and scoring. My aim is to give golfers clear direction, confidence in what they’re working on, and a plan that suits their goals and lifestyle. I combine technology with experience to provide the highest level of coaching and provide a range of lesson options including one-off sessions, structured coaching programmes, and online lessons.
